Meet our daughter...the Goldfish!

I don't think i've seen anything more adorable than my daughter dressing up as a little goldfish! For her 1/2 birthday we got her a beta fish .... ever since then she's been 'all about' fish - she says the word really easy and often! well, i saw this costume at a consignment sale in waco and knew that i HAD to buy it for her. Luckily, it was her exact size and only 10 bucks!!!
Macy wore this amazing costume Halloween night for a few hours (my parents and grandparents took her to a carnival b/c we were in the hospital) and wore it again the next night to our church "fall festival" ----- the entire time looking adorable and loving it! ....i am so glad macy loves dressing up (b/c you know i love too!) ....i'm already thinking and planning my costume selection for next year =)
enjoy!

For those that haven't heard Lincoln spent a few days in the NICU for breathing issues ---- needless to say, the past few days have been thrilling, emotional, joyous, nervous, etc. etc. So, we'll definitly post his story soon. Thanks to everyone for their prayers, concerns and encouragement

Fall Fun with the Shelton's

Feeding the "Duck Ducks" at Cameron Park

There is a really fun "pumpkin patch type place" in West...about 20 minutes from our house. They have a giant corn maze, corn guns, hay rides, and more! Macy ran around and loved every moment of it --- as is evident b/c she wouldn't really sit still for a picture! (such is the life of a 20 month old! =)

macy 'telling' some stranger what they can and cannot do.....=)

Macy's HALF birthday!

well, i know i'm a little late posting these 'birthday' pictures BUT hey, better than never. Macy turned a year and a half Aug. 8. Scott and I can not believe how grown up she is getting! she truly is a joy.
Scott and I got Macy a betta fish for her birthday --- we went to the store and she picked it out and everything! she loves animals and as of right now the fish is in our dining room and everytime she walks in that room - she just automatically shouts "FISH"...as if saying hello to her little friend!

Waco + water = FUN

One of the great things about Waco are the FREE sprinkler parks throughout the city....Macy loves them! these few pictures do not do it justice. Macy just claps and yells with delight the entire time shes there. Macy also does the cutest things when she is really excited...she puts her arms behind her back "like shes wearing a cape" and runs around making "happy noises" ....you know she is having fun when the 'cape' comes out!
I love watching her experience new things. Figuring out how the water works? how it feels? etc....
This particular day at the sprinkler park there were alot of other kids playing. I love the picture of her in the midst of the crowd - definitly not afraid to make new friends and be around strangers! ....we got an an adventerous one folks!

"And what a boy!" -Homer Simpson

Yesterday we found out that our second child is a BOY! Lincoln Shelton! We are extremely excited. Here are a few pictures.

This is a picture of Lincoln's penis. Hopefully this is the only time it will ever be on the Internet.

Lincoln chillin'

Full body shot. I (Scott) asked the lady to take this picture. I'll let you guess why.

Let me explain...

Macy and I have been hangin' out all day. Lets just say ---- she is developing into such the climbing/explorer....
One of Macy's new things is sitting where ever scott or I are sitting. For example: the couch is the main spot. Macy and I were sitting on the couch watching scott cut the grass out the window. This little "mini story" turned funny real quick....
She decided that she wasn't content sitting/standing on the couch - she had to climb over the couch and stand on the window ledge and bang on the window.....keep in mind that macy is till a little chunky in the thigh area and barely fit! So, of course after a few minutes she discovered that she was stuck and got a little nervous....
A couple of other things to notice in the photo: the pink headband/sweatband we've been sportin' for a few hours! the crazy obnixous necklace around her neck...with a giant plastic highheel shoe attached! and our 'out of control' hair thats everywhere! ...and token runny nose! =)
Macy is SO FUN! this age is a blast!

Macy is the next brainchild!

She is learning so much so quick! ....becoming such a BIG girl. walking/running everywhere she goes, "talking" constantly ( mostly in her own "very intelligent" language) eating only big people food, learning concepts like crazy (i.e. in and out, etc) BUT this next example , my friends, is what truly sets her apart from the others as an "amazing brainiac genius"
Just the other day - macy and i are trying to head out the door to run some errands....this somehow almost always promotes some sort of chaos! So, I say to macy "Go get your pink sandles from your room..." A few minutes later she emerges from her room with both her pink crocs in her hands! come'on people thats pretty darn amazing!!! ...we're only 15 months old!
...when macy makes millions by reciting all the Presidents backwards here next week - we'll show all ya'll! =)

...its been FOREVER - i know!

Here are a few recent photos of MACY JOY. She is ALL over the place....and getting into everything! this is a real fun stage.
(sidenote: i'm still having drama uploading my vertical photos onto blogger-and them staying vertical.....therefore, while these photos are cute the BEST are upright.....so just use your imagination! =) she is precious.

Macy loves to play in peyton's crate AND with peyton's water bowl....we've had to change wet clothes MANY times!

I wanted to take bluebonnet pictures this year just like last year (same 'outfits' and everything) I didn't think it all the way through....last time MJ was about 3 months-this time around all she wanted to do was run around the field! Needlesstosay, our "family photos" in the bluebonnets are of scott and I smiling and Macy trying with all her might to get out of our lap!! =)

Jello anyone?

Daddy attacked macy with her hair bows and clips...it was really precious - scott and macy sat on the kitchen floor for about 20 minutes playing with bows! i couldn't believe she let him put ALL those clips in her hair!

Easter Fun!

We had a really fun Easter. Macy is really starting to walk more... she's been "walking" for a few weeks BUT not really toddlin' around until real recent ...and even that she does when she pleases - thank you very much. - she says.
the most memorable event happened on friday. my friend had told me that at Wal-mart on friday and saturday they were going to be taking free pictures with the easter bunny. i was pumped! b/c it was free - unlike the mall or other places AND i didn't know how mj would respond....and i didn't want to waste money! so, we show up (i'm expecting a line) i've already had to drag scott to just go in the store (he hates wal-mart) and we don't see anything. I talk to the manager - no bunny. they call back to the photo lab and then we're informed that its only saturday and sunday. I was confused BUT gave in thinking that i had just gotten the days confused. We're leaving "hell" as scott referes to it...and i see the huge poster on the wall saying "FREE PHOTO WITH THE EASTER BUNNY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY"......so ya'll know me. ---- gosh darnit, we're getting our picture! needlesstosay, i have to walk the photo lady up to the front to 'prove' to her i wasn't lying and show her the poster and she then tells me she's going to find someone to put on the suit. MJ, scott and i make our way back to the photo center (mind you, we've been here and hour at this point!) They 'supposidly' can't find someone to put the costume on - so naturally, i volunteer my husband! (who refuses) therefore, in my mind the only logically thing to do was to be the Easter Bunny myself! I put on the costume (don't think of where its been....) and we begin to walk down to the dairy section where the photo setup is located...
at this point random children are starting to mingle towards me....little kids are yelling and waving at me across the store...its amazing! macy is loving it - scott is dying laughing - i'm constantling moving around so kids don't form a line! finally, we just take our photo infront of the eggs b/c somehow the setup had gotten dumped (gotta love wal-mart) --- always and adventure.

Shelton's + last tuesday + church folks = VIP

lets just say that last tuesday scott and i were rubbin' elbows with the rich and famous! A guy at our church is on the board of directors for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame. He calls and tells us he as two extra tickets if we'd like to go......and we get to meet and take photos with the inductees. of course we said YES! ...i'll make the story quick --- we go to meet Mike Modano, Mia Hamm, Ray Childress, Michael Irvin, Spike Dykes, and a few others! AND Brett Hull was there to support his friend Modano (for those of you non hockey people --- brett hull is bobby hull son - both hall of fame hockey players!) a professional took our photos with all the people (and we don't have them yet) BUT here are the the photos we took with our own camera.
what fun to feel 'famous' for a night! =)

Macy is ONE!!

Scott and i took this picture of macy the day after her birthday....we're thinking she just wanted everyone to remember how old she is!? =)

to say that macy enjoyed her cake would be a HUGE understatement. she ate more than half of an eight inch cake --- and would have kept on eating if i hadn't taken it from her....BUT the really cute thing was...i took the cake away and she began to frantically sign "more" in sign language - in hopes that I'd bring it back!

thats my girl! --- if you're going to do something....go all in!

One of macy's favorite gifts was a new red wagon. These wagons are are really spruced up nowadays - with cup holders, seatbelts, a door and even storage under the seat! At her party all the babies took rides around the yard. This is macy with her cousin audrey...notice that they are both chewing on their 'victory medals' they had won earlier from the "Baby Race"

We can not believe that Macy is already one. Life without her is unimaginable.
